(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - The Walsh University Men's Basketball team put on a dominating performance at home against Thiel College. With a 102-58 victory, the Cavaliers are now 3-3 on the season.
Putting on a strong defensive performance for the Cavaliers was Junior forward Sterling Christy, leading the team with 15 defensive boards and 19 overall. He also contributed 10 points and 8 assists. Reece Bogan led the Maroon and Gold with 17 points, with 12 points behind the arc. The Cavaliers shot an impressive 50 percent from the three point line. Also helping secure the Cavalier victory was JT Shumate with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Darryl Straughter and Conner Wess contributed 15 and 13 points respectively. Caleb Canter helped clean up the boards with 10 rebounds and put up 9 points.
Terrance Holloway was the leading scorer for the Tomcats with 13 points.
The Maroon and Gold take on Ohio Dominican at home Thursday in their first G-MAC event of the 2018 season.
