(FINDLAY, Ohio) - It was a back and forth battle for 40 minutes, in a game that featured fourteen lead changes. Walsh displayed a strong second-half performance, but it wasn't enough as the Oilers took back the lead with a pair of free throws in the final seconds to defeat the Cavaliers 67-66.
The Cavaliers were led once again by freshman JT Shumate, who poured in a game-high 26 points on 50% shooting from the field. Sterling Christy contributed on both sides of the ball with 13 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. Caleb Canter continues to prove his dominance on the glass, as he secured 10 rebounds on the night. Darryl Straughter rounded out the double-digit scorers, as he posted 12 points and three assists.
Aaron Overhiser powered the Oiler offense with 23 points, he also contributed 12 rebounds.
The Cavaliers continue league play as they travel to Hillsdale to take on the Chargers Saturday at 3 pm.
