(TOLEDO, Ohio) - The Walsh University men's bowling team competed at the Toledo Classic held over the weekend. The men's team finished 12th out of 17 teams in the event as they combined for 6094 total pins over four individual games and 16 Baker games.
The team totaled 3510 in the individual portion and 2584 for the Baker games. Out of the Baker games, the team's best scores were 212 and 190.
Jimi Basiletti led the Cavaliers with a eighth place finish on a total pinfall of 817 over four games, an average of 204. His highest game of the weekend was a 227. Basiletti's eighth place finish was the best individual finish since the inception of the Cavalier bowling program.
Zak Williams was 39th overall with 706 pins knocked down in four games, a 176.5 average. His best game was a 202 in game three. Jarod Tallman finished 43th in the individual standings with a 687 pinfall and a 171.8 overall average. He also had a best game of 202.
Brock Delaney was two places (45th) and seven pins behind Tallman with a 680 total and a 170 average. Game three was his best with a 188. Matt Tryjankowski tallied a 61th place finish with a 620 pinfall over four games. His average was 155 and his best game was 190 in game two.
The Men take to the lanes again December 26-30 at the Tier 1 Tournament.
