Men's Golf Concludes Two Rounds at Bash at the Beach

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – In a tournament full of Division I teams, the Walsh men's golf team is 14th after two rounds in the Bash at the Beach hosted by Appalachian State University. The Cavaliers scored rounds of 318 and 319 for a total of 637 after the first day.

South Carolina Beafort leads the field with a score of 580. Jacksonville State and Oakland are tied for second with a 583.

Drew Savage scored two rounds in the 70s with a 77 and 78 to lead the Cavaliers with a 155. He stands tied for 47th in the loaded individual field. Nick Colangelo is second for the Cavs with a 159 split between a 76 and an 83. He has the lowest round amongst the team thus far.

Zach Keylor carded a pair or 80s for a 160, Brian James doubled 85s for a 190, and Ian Haidle carded a 92 and a 78 to tie James.

Austin King, playing as an individual, shot an 84 and a 77 for a 161.

The Cavaliers will conclude their time in the Palmetto State with the final round in the Bash tomorrow.
