(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – The Walsh men's golf team finished 14th in a tournament full of Division I competition in the Bash at the Beach event hosted by Appalachian State Monday and Tuesday. The Cavaliers recorded a three-round score of 955 after a team score of 318 today.
South Carolina Beaufort won the event with an 874 to edge George Washington by a single stroke. Jacksonville State was third with an 877.
Drew Savage topped the Cavaliers with three rounds in the 70s and totaled 234 after a 79 today. He finished tied for 58th individually. Nick Colangelo was next for Walsh. He carded an 80 today for a total of 239.
Zach Keylor tallied an 84 on the final day to finish with a 244 after two consecutive rounds of 80. Ian Haidle had the best round of the tournament for Walsh with a 75 today for a total of 245. Brian James was the fifth player on the team and hit an 86 today for a total of 256.
Playing as an individual, Austin King recorded a 242 for the three rounds after an 81 today.
