(LEMONT, Ill.) – The Walsh men's golf team wrapped up the Flyer Intercollegiate today with a team score of 650 to finish ninth. The Cavaliers reached that total after firing a 319 on the first day before a 331 today.
Our Lady of the Lake won the tournament played at Cog Hill Dubsdread Course with a score of 619. Maryville University was second with a 628. Drury, the Cumberlands, and host Lewis rounded out the top five.
Noah Frase was the top player for the Cavaliers after he scored a 159 between a 78 and an 81. He finished tied for 18th in the individual standings. Drew Savage was second for Walsh with a 161. He had the lowest round for any Cavalier in the tournament with a 77 yesterday.
Mark Mokros scored a 164, Brandon Obemiller came in at 167, and Noah Drlik recorded a 179 to round out the team.
The Maroon and Gold will return to the links next week in a Midwest Regional competition.
