Men's Golf Sits In First After Opening Round in Myrtle Beach

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – The Walsh men's golf team lead the field in the Battle at the Beach tournament hosted by Alderson Broaddus. The Cavaliers scored a first round total of 320, three strokes better than the Battlers.

Noah Frase had the best round for the Maroon and Gold and tied three others with a 78. Drew Savage and Jon Forbes are a stroke behind him at 79 tied for fifth individually. Austin King completed the team score with an 83 and is tied for 13th.

Jake Barth and Sam DiMeo are also playing and scored an 84 and 86, respectively.

The tournament will conclude with a single round tomorrow.
