(OWENSBORO, Ky.) – In its penultimate tournament of the year, Walsh finished 10th of 11 at the Kentucky Wesleyan Panther Invitational at the Pearl Club on Tuesday. The Cavaliers finished with a three-day total of 967.
Drury won the event with a total of 879. Host Kentucky Wesleyan was second with a 901.
Drew Savage had an impressive tournament as he led the Cavaliers with a 227. He improved upon each round as he opened with a 78 before he followed with rounds of 76 and 73. Savage tied for 15th individually.
Noah Frase was next for the Maroon and Gold and also got better each day. He finished with a 237 after rounds of 80, 79, and 78. Mark Mokros was next for Walsh with a 253 on rounds of 85, 81, and 87. Patrick Duffy followed with a 265 on an 86, 88, and 91. Dylan Smith didn't play the opening round, but had both of his scores in the last two rounds added for the team total with an 87 and 77.
The Cavaliers will conclude the season in two weeks at the G-MAC Championships at the Four Bridges Golf Course in Liberty, Ohio.
