(LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio) – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference opened up the men's golf championship today with the first two rounds at Four Bridges Country Club. Through those two rounds, Walsh currently stands 10th with a 635.
The Cavaliers were consistent between their two rounds as they combined to score a 317 in round one before finishing the day with a 318.
Findlay currently leads the field with a 595. Trevecca Nazarene is in second five strokes back at 600. Hillsdale (604), Kentucky Wesleyan (608), and Ohio Valley (619) round out the top five.
Noah Frase led the Cavs with a par of sub-80 rounds. He opened the day with a 78 before he finished three strokes better at 75. Frase currently sits tied for 18th individually.
Mark Mokros had the best opening round of anyone in the Maroon and gold with a 76 and followed with an 80. Drew Savage scored a 79 and an 83 for a 162. Jake Barth carded an 84 and an 81 for a 165, and Noah Drlik completed the team quintet with an 84 and 82 for a 166.
The Cavaliers will complete the championship and season tomorrow.
