Men's Golf Concludes Spring Kickoff Event

(TAMPA, Florida) - The Walsh University Men's Golf Team wrapped up their Spring Break event in Tampa after carding a final round of 309. The Cavaliers would end up just falling one spot to fourth on day three to give them a 938 54-hole total.

Drew Savage would shoot his best round of the event on day three after firing a 1-over 71 to help move him up to third place overall. Noah Frase was able to put together his best round of the week today after carding a 72 placing him tied for ninth place. Rounding out the top five for the Maroon and Gold were Brandon Netzel carding a 78, Sam DiMeo tallying an 88 and Jake Barth with an 89. 

Grand Valley State would fire an impressive 286 today to secure their first place win by 36 shots over Ferris State. Alex Scott from Grand Valley would go on to capture the medalist title after his 1-under 54 hole total of 209.

The Cavaliers head to Kentucky March 25-26 to compete at Kentuck's Big Blue course for the University of Findlay's event.
