(TIFFIN, Ohio) – The Walsh men's tennis team narrowly dropped to Tiffin by a score of 5-4 at the PM Gillmor Courts on Saturday. The Cavaliers fell to 10-9 overall and 2-3 in the GLIAC, while the Dragons improved to 13-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference.
The doubles portion of the day is what did in the Cavaliers as they dropped two of the three and split the singles matches 3-3. Jonah Carter and Tim Bruin gave Walsh the lone point in doubles play with an 8-6 victory over Justin Kopronica and Sorin Navrotchi in the third spot.
Vasily Vidmanov, Felix Zimmermann, and Heitor Adegas all scored points in singles action. Vidmanov came from behind to defeat Luis Ludena at first singles with a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 win at the top spot. Zimmermann defeated Agustin Mangone 6-1, 6-4 at third singles while Adegas won 6-4, 7-6 at fifth singles.
The Cavaliers will return to action a week from today against Hillsdale.
