(NIAGARA, N.Y.) - Walsh won once again by a narrow margin, this time by a 4-3 score, over hosting Niagara. The Cavaliers moved to 4-0 with the win.
Because Niagara is in a different division, doubles matches counted for one point. Walsh was able to get that one point with wins at first doubles by Vasily Vidmanov and Rodrigo Garcia and third doubles by Filipp Kulynych and Tim Bruin.
Vidmanov and Rodrigo Garcia won their match 6-0, while Kulynych and Bruin won 7-5.
With the one point awarded, Walsh had its work cut out for them in singles action, but won three of the matches. Rodrigo Garcia won at the fourth spot 6-2, 6-4. Heitor Adegas won 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at the fifth spot in what determined the match winner. Guilherme Carneiro won at No. 6 in three 6-1, 3-6, 6-2.
The Cavaliers will return to action next week at the UNOH Invitational.
