Men's Tennis Tripped Up By Tritons

(ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.) – The Walsh men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Eckerd in its first of two spring break matches at Bullard Courts today. The Cavaliers dropped even to 5-5 while the Tritons won their first match of the year and are now 1-3.

Guilherme Carneiro and Filipp Kulynych provided the only point for the Maroon and Gold in doubles action as they defeated Robert Vazquez and Alejandro Vuconovic 8-3 in thirds.

Carneiro went 2-0 on the day with a win over Charlton Ogg in sixth singles by scores of 6-2, 6-2. The remaining point came from Heitor Adegas with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Connor Masella at fifth singles.

The Cavaliers have a day off before they conclude spring break with a match at Florida Southern on Thursday at 10 a.m.
