(ALLENDALE, Mich.) – Walsh opened a three-meet weekend with a few Cavaliers heading north to take part in the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Friday. Most of the action in the 5,000 meters but also had a placer in the 200 meter invite portion.
Mark Hadley placed in the 5,000 meter run event which featured over 190 entrants. He scored two points for the Cavs with a seventh place finish with a time of 14:29.18. Noah Murray (15:09.96), Spencer Wirick (15:20.32), Steven Kapes (15:20.46), Nick Marino (15:22.18), Jacob Turner (15:23.42), and Justin Maroni (15:33.24) also ran in the event.
Hunter Williams finished just outside the placers with a 10th place in the 200 meter invite with a time of 21.96 with five Division I athletes ahead of him.
Lane Knoch finished 19th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.40.
Jacob Caniford was 28th in the mile run with a time of 4:16.85.
Solomon Yoder ran in the 800 meter and finished with a time of 1:57.56.
The Cavaliers will be back in action tomorrow at another separate GVSU Big Meet as well as the Tiffin Grand Prix.
