Coach Roger Herstine is in his third year with the Walsh University Track & Field Program. Coach Herstine is primarily in charge of the Cavaliers sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, and multi-event athletes. Previously here in 2008, Coach Herstine has eight years of coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels. He is USATF Level I certified. As a former Decathlete at the colligate level, Coach Herstine has competed in every event in Track & Field except the hammer, steeple, and marathons.
Coach Herstine received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education as an intervention specialist from Malone College. In additional to coaching track & field, Coach Herstine has five years of education experience teaching special education students, and 10 years of experience as a youth minister. He is married to Marcy and has four children: Roger, Benjamin, Daniel, and Theresa. He lives in Paris, Ohio.
