Walsh Drops Two In Myrtle Beach

(MRYTLE BEACH, S.C.)- Walsh dropped two games in Myrtle Beach to Ohio Christian (6-1) 5-3 and Waldorf (6-7) by a score of 4-3.

The Cavaliers were held scoreless in Game One till the fifth inning when Brooke Six singled to right field to score Leah Roten and a pass ball allowed Cali Frascone to cross home. Alaina Manor singled in the sixth to score pinch runner Morgan Belsole. Hailey Warren was 1-2 with a walk.

Shelbi Gregg (2-1) pitched four innings for the Cavaliers giving up two earned runs and striking out two.

The Cavaliers dropped another close one to Waldorf in Game Two. Walsh attempted a comeback in the seventh but fell short. A single by Rebekah Hoffee and triple by Jessie Rock are what lead to the Cavalier runs. Six and Rock lead the Cavaliers going 2-4.

Olivia Pifer (6-2) started the game for Walsh. She went five innings striking out five and scattering nine hits and three earned runs over five innings.

The Maroon and Gold play their final two games in Myrtle Beach tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. against Glenville State and at 1:30 p.m. against Briar Cliff.
