That also included wins against No. 8 Davenport, No. 23 Park, and No. 25 Georgetown. An impressive feat with 16 true freshmen on roster. Barley was previously an assistant at Adrian College where she helped reshape the Bulldogs offense leading to increases in batting average, homeruns and doubles. In 2010, she helped guide the Onsted Wildcats to their first conference (LCAA) championship in 10 years.

Barley was a standout shortstop at Tecumseh High School where she helped the Indians to a 142-25 record, winning back to back state championships in 2007 and 2008. Barley was a 3-time county player of the year and 4 time first team all-conference, district and region selection. She was named first team all-state her junior and senior seasons. She signed to play softball at the University of Michigan and after an injury transferred to Madonna University where she was an All-American and conference player of the year. She graduated from Madonna University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Barley also had a short stint as a player and coach for a professional softball team in Europe.
