Walsh Dominates Slippery Rock, 93-73

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - The Walsh University women's basketball team put on a dominating performance against Slippery Rock this afternoon in a 93-73 win, giving them an overall record 3-2.

Leading the charge for the Cavaliers was Quionche Carter in her best career game thus far with a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. She shot 10-12 from the free-throw line. Coming off the bench, Jill Blacksten contributed 17 points and nine rebounds, as well as Jamie Halloran's 16 points to aid in the Cavalier victory. Shelby Henkel garnered nine rebounds. Tyler Newkirk and Lexie Scarton each dished out five assists.

Walsh dominated the boards, as they out rebounded Slippery Rock 53-35.

Daeja Quick led Slippery Rock with 23 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Brooke Hinderliter led the team on the boards with nine rebounds. 

The Cavaliers return to play Thursday, Nov 29 at home in their first conference match up against Ohio Dominican.
