Women's Basketball Rolls Thru Ohio Valley

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - The Walsh University Women's Basketball team goes to 5-2 as they defeated Ohio Valley 90-56 in their second conference face off this season. 

For the Cavaliers, freshman Quionche Carter put on another dominating performance shooting 12 of 14 from the floor giving her 27 total points. Carter also added 2 rebounds and 3 steals. She is an offensive force to be reckoned with for the Maroon and Gold. The Cavaliers outscored the Scots 26 to 8 in the first quarter giving them plenty of momentum heading into the second quarter.

Coming from off the bench, Senior Brittni Clopton added 13 points for the Cavs with 5 rebounds and Sophomore Payton Pooler combined for 10 points and 3 boards. Jamie Holloran scored 9 points for the Cavs and Kimmie Borck, Hannah Blake, Lexie Scarton and Shelby Henkel each contributed 6 points respectively. 

Akiya Brown was the leading score for the Fighting Scots with 11 points on the day. 

The Maroon and Gold head to Findlay to battle the Oilers on Thursday December 6th.
