Women's Bowling Opens Up Season At Orange and Black Classic

(CENTERVILLE, Ohio) -  The Women's Bowling team opened up their innaugural season at the Orange and Black Classic this past weekend. Taking the lanes against a field of 28 other competing schools, the Cavaliers finished 23rd bowling a 5 round team total 3556.

Leading the way on the lanes for the Maroon and Gold was Kayla VanNatten bowling a 5 round total 887. VanNatten's average of 177 per round helped her place in the 35th individually. Emily Kiss was next for the Cavaliers bowling a 698 and Abby Moore followed right behind with a 670.  Makenna Wimer put together a total of 653. Finishing the lineup for the Cavs was Elizabeth Henline bowling a 648.

The University of Pikeville took home first place with a solid 5 round team total 5039. Lindenwood University bowled 4757 and Savannah College of Art and Design captured 3rd place with a team total 4704.

The Maroon and Gold take to the lanes again this weekend at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout.
