(CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh women's golf team wrapped up its home event the Cav Classic today at the Glenmoor Country Club despite a storm postponing the start until noon. The Cavaliers finished with a team score of 695 over two rounds.
All five Cavaliers improved upon Monday's round for an 11-stroke team improvement. Amanda Scala once again led the team with an 84 for a two-round total of 169. Kerra Loomis, Gina DePasquale, and Michele Vlacovsky all carded 86s with Loomis and DePasquale scoring a 175 over both days. Vlacovsky was a stroke back at 176. Brooke Morgan rounded out the squad with a 196.
Grand Valley State broke 300 with a 299 on the second day to win the event with a 608. First round leader finished tied for second with Ashland with a 622.
The Cavaliers will return to action next week at the GLIAC Championships.
