Women's Golf Fourth After First Round at SVSU Spring Invite

(GEORGETOWN, Ky.) – Michele Vlacovsky and Lexus Roshong both shot in the 70s to help Walsh finish in the top five after the first round of the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational. The Cavaliers totaled 315 on the opening day at Cherry Blossom Golf Course, two strokes away from being tied for second in the 17-team field.

Grand Valley State leads the event after the Lakers scored 290 on the first round. Tiffin came in with a 313 for second. Northwood brought in a 314, and Ashland completed the top five with a 318.

Vlacovsky had the best round for the Maroon and Gold with a 75 to put her in a tie for fifth on the individual leaderboards. Roshong carded a 78 and is tied for 12th.

Danica Steiner turned in an 80 and Danielle Roshong finished with 82 to complete the team score. Kerra Loomis finished with an 86 as the fifth player on the team.

The Cavaliers will conclude the event tomorrow in the Bluegrass State.
