(GEORGETOWN, Ky.) – The Walsh women's golf team finished an impressive third place at Saginaw Valley State's Spring Invitational held at Cherry Blossom Golf Course this weekend. The Cavaliers totaled 640 in the two-round event to place them in a tie with Northwood.
Grand Valley State won the event easily with a 578 after rounds of 290 and 288. Saginaw Valley State finished second with a 635 on rounds of 322 and 313.
Michele Vlacovsky had another great day of golf with a 76 to top the leaderboard for the Cavaliers. She finished with a two-day total of 151 and tied for fifth in the individual standings. Danielle Roshong scored 80 today to finished with a 162 to be second for the Maroon and Gold.
Her sister Lexus Roshong was just a stroke behind at 163 after an 85. Danica Steiner completed the team scoring on Day 2 with an 84 and a total of 164. Kerra Loomis served as the fifth player on the team and scored a 171 after an 85 on the day.
Walsh is now off until it heads to Columbus for Ohio Dominican's NC4K on April 9 and 10.
