Rough Weather Leads to Day 2 Delays for Women's Golf

(ALLENDALE, Michigan) - A downpour of rain on Day leads to a 2 hour delay at Grand Valley State's home course, The Meadows. The Maroon and Gold battled rain and a soggy course to finish out the event with a 36 hole score of 707.

Firiing an impressive round 2 score 81, senior Michele Vlacovksy led the way for the Cavaliers. Kerra Loomis carded an 86 while Alexis Green and Kayleigh McHugh scored 93 and 94 respectively. Rounding out the top 5 for the team was Amanda Scala with a 98.

The University of Indianapolis took home first place with a 2 day team total 610 with Grand Valley State on their heels scoring a 2 day total 617.

The Cavaliers tee it back up at The University of Findlay this coming weekend.
