Cavs Fall to UIndy in Women's LAX

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh dropped its second contest of the week with a 15-3 defeat by Indianapolis at Vasco Field on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers dropped to 7-4 overall and 0-2 in the GLIAC, while the Greyhounds improved to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

The Maroon and Gold fought neck-and-neck for the first 15 minutes after goals by Maria Nobile and Jenny Spragg made the score 3-2 in favor of the visitors. However, the Greyhounds were able to score 30 seconds after Spragg's score and proceeded to close the half on a 5-0 run.

Amanda Hodel scored on a man-up opportunity near the start of the second half, but Walsh could get no closer the rest of the way.

Defensively Mikaela Faus reached double-digits in saves once again with 11.

The Cavs are now off until Thursday when they host Lake Erie at 6 p.m.
