  • Women's Lacrosse Lands Nine On G-MAC All-Conference Team

    The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced its postseason awards and Walsh has landed an unprecedented nine players on the All-Conference Team. Headlining the Cavaliers’ positions on the team were Luisa Landaverde on the First Team at defense, Emma Armour on the Second Team at attack, and Sarah McCormick on the Second Team at midfield.
  • Cavavliers' Record-Breaking Season Ends In G-MAC Semis

    A record-breaking season came to a close as Walsh fell to Findlay 18-5 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium on Thursday afternoon. The No. 3 Cavaliers (11-7) battled the No. 2 Oilers (15-3) well early on, but eventually succumbed to the high-powered Findlay attack.
  • Women's LAX Falls In Regular Season Finale

    The regular season came to a close for Walsh in an 18-6 defeat to Lake Erie at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Both teams will head to postseason, however, as the Cavaliers (11-6, 8-4) will be the No. 3 seed, while the Storm (14-2, 12-0) will host after winning the conference championship.

  • Cavs Clinch Postseason Bid With Win Over Ohio Valley

    Mother Nature provided Walsh with one last home game this season, and the Maroon and Gold made sure not to disappoint with an 11-1 victory over Ohio Valley. The Cavaliers (10-5, 7-3) were originally scheduled to visit the Fighting Scots (2-12, 0-10), but inclement weather made their field unplayable.
  • Women's LAX Falls In Fight For Second Place With Findlay

    Walsh battled Findlay for the bulk of the first half, but eventually was defeated 17-7 at the Armstrong Sports Complex on Tuesday afternoon. The Cavaliers (9-5, 6-3) and Oilers (11-3, 7-2) were tied in the conference standings going into today and were battling for sole position in second place behind Lake Erie.
  • Cavaliers Shut Down Senators On Senior Day

    Senior Day couldn’t have gone much better for Walsh as it dominated Davis & Elkins 21-1 in the final home game of the season. The Cavaliers (9-4, 6-2) guaranteed their first winning regular season in program history with the win over the Senators (2-8, 2-6) and set a new record for margin of victory as well.
  • Armour Scores 100th Goal In Dominating Win

    Emma Armour scored her 100th career goal and led Walsh to a 14-2 victory over Alderson Broaddus in G-MAC action on Thursday evening. The senior totaled four goals on the day with one assist as the Cavaliers (8-4, 5-2) swept the season series with the Battlers (3-10, 2-5).
  • Walsh Falls To Findlay In G-MAC Action

    Walsh fell to Findlay by a score of 18-3 at Vasco Field in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers dropped to 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference. The Oilers improved to 9-2 and 5-1 in the same categories.
  • Cavs Take Down West Virginia Wesleyan 13-5

    In the final non-conference game of the season, Walsh defeated West Virginia Wesleyan College by a score of 13-5 at Cebe Ross Field on Friday evening. The Cavaliers improved to 7-3 on the season, while the Bobcats fell to 4-4-1.

  • Faus Earns G-MAC Weekly Defensive Honors

    The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has released its weekly honors and Walsh’s Mikaela Faus has been named Defensive Player of the Week in women’s lacrosse. The junior goalkeeper helped the Maroon and Gold to a pair of wins in West Virginia to help keep the Cavaliers unbeaten in the conference.
  • Walsh Rolls Over Davis & Elkins To Remain Unbeaten In G-MAC

    The win streak continued as Walsh remained unbeaten in G-MAC play with a decisive 17-5 victory over Davis & Elkins on Sunday afternoon. The Cavaliers (5-2, 4-0) have now won their last five with the win over the Senators (0-3, 0-2).

    Walsh kept its win streak intact with an exciting 9-7 victory over Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (4-2, 2-1) won their fourth consecutive after they scored the final three goals of the game to beat the Battlers (3-6, 2-1).

    Senior Emma Armour garnered G-MAC weekly accolades as she was named Offensive Player of the Week after leading Walsh to a 3-0 week with a pair of conference wins. The Charlotte, N.C., native scored 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points.

    Sarah McCormick scored three goals and assisted on five more as Walsh picked up its first win of the season 16-5 over Notre Dame. The Cavaliers (1-2) were playing in their home opener and have now defeated the Falcons (2-3) three consecutive times.

    Emma Armour’s five goals weren’t enough as Walsh lost a heartbreaker to Charleston at Schoenbaum Stadium by a score of 11-10 in the Mountain State on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. The Cavaliers (0-2) led 9-7 late before the Golden Eagles (2-2) rallied for four consecutive goals en route to the win.
  • Women's Lacrosse Falls In Season Opener at SCAD

    Walsh fell short in its season opener by a score of 17-8 to the Savannah College of Art and Design on the road on Saturday afternoon. SCAD remained unbeaten on the early season as the Bees improved to 3-0.
  • Women's LAX Selected Third In First G-MAC Poll

    The 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour was released Friday and Walsh has been selected the finish third in its first season in the conference. The Cavaliers came away with 26 points in the voting process.
  • Women's LAX to Host Mini-camp

    The Walsh University women's lacrosse team is hosting its third-annual mini camp for girls ages 10-18 years old on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. The goal of the camp is to introduce or increase knowledge and skill about the sport of women's lacrosse. Campers will learn from the players and coaching staff in a variety of skill based stations and play.
