Tiffin Too Much For Women's Lacrosse

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh University women's lacrosse team faced another tough G-MAC opponent in the Tiffin University Dragons this afternoon (April 6) when the Dragons defeated the Cavs 11-8.

The Maroon and Gold put up a tough fight in the first half, trailing only three heading into halftime. Lindsay Hindman scored the first goal of the day for the Cavaliers, with Hannah McFeeters scoring a goal less than three minutes later. Skylar Crandell then scored on a free position shot to give the Cavs their third goal of the day. McFeeters scored her second goal of the contest and Jenny Spragg scored her first to cut the score to 8-5 leading into the second half. 

Grace Andreski scored her first goal of the game during the first minute of the second half. McFeeters scored her third goal of the contest on a free position at the 14 minute mark of the second half. Kendra Cowen-Tripp scored in the 10th minute of the contest on a free position shot to cut the lead back to three, for a final score of 11-8. 

Cowen-Tripp and Halle Kotulock each picked up a team-best three ground balls. 

Senior goalie Mikaelya Faus contibuted 10 saves on the day.

Walsh will head to Lake Erie Friday (April 12) to take on the Storm at 7:00 PM in G-MAC action.
