(NASHVILLE) – A Trevecca goal in the 26th minute doomed Walsh as it was the only score of the game at the Trojan Soccer Complex on Thursday evening. The Cavaliers dropped to 7-3-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the G-MAC. The Trojans improved to 7-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the conference.
The goal came from a long pass by Gabriela Dias into the box where Lidiya Ogorodnik was waiting and eventually slipped the ball past the Walsh keeper. It was one of only two shots on goal put forth by the Trojans as game was largely a defensive contest.
Walsh outshot Trevecca 13-10 overall, but only four of the Cavaliers' shots were on target. The Cavaliers also held a 6-2 advantage on corner kicks as well.
The Maroon and Gold remains on the road and will take on Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday.
