Cavs Nearly Perfect Against Kentucky Wesleyan

(CANTON, Ohio) – The Walsh women's tennis team breezed to a 9-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan at the North Canton Racquet Club on a Friday evening. The Cavaliers (9-7, 5-0) have now won five-straight with their win over the Panthers (3-9, 0-4).

The Cavs wasted no time in jumping ahead of the Panthers with shutouts in two of the three doubles matches. They followed with shutouts in four of the six singles matches. In total, Walsh only lost five games the entire night.

Mercedes Fernandez and Clara Drasch were both perfect on the day with shutout wins in both doubles and singles play. Katarina Raszum joined them with a pair of shutout matches at second doubles and fourth singles.

The Cavs will look to make it six consecutive tomorrow when they host Cedarville.
