Women's Tennis Finds Success at ITA's

(ALLENDALE, Mich.) - The Walsh women's tennis team found success at the ITA Regional Championships this past weekend hosted by Grand Valley State University. Sophomore, Clara Drasch had an impressive weekend as she's won three matches thus far in B Singles. In the first round, Drasch defeated Madison Devillez of Bellarmine (6-0, 6-2). She then defeated Gyselle Daza Gutierrez of Saginaw Valley (6-3, 6-0) in the second round and Irena van Meer of Wayne State (6-3, 6-2) in the third round.

Maria Kacalova and Katarina Razum advanced through two rounds in B Doubles before falling to Wayne State's Astrid Ciellza and Carla Jewell. Sofia Khairutdinova, Kacalova, and Razum all won one match in the B Singles Division before bowing out.

The Cavaliers will head back on the road to face Carnegie Mellon on Friday, Oct. 5.
