Six Cavs Named All-Region

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Six Cavaliers on the Women's Track & Field Team were named 2017 NCAA Division II Indoor All-Region Honorees this season by the U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Kaitlyn Barber jumped a PR of 3.99 meters to take first place at the GLIAC Championships in Pole Vault.

Sarah Berger ran a PR 4:48.47 Mile at the GVSU Big Meet Invite to place third.  She won the GLIAC Championship in the mile with a time of 4:53.60. Berger also ran a personal best 800 meters of 2:10.19 to take first place at the Kent State Tune-Up and came in fifth at the GLIAC Championships with 2:14.31.

Meredith Fennell placed second at the GLIAC Championships in the Pentathlon with a score of 3425 where she took first place in both the long jump and the 60-meter hurdle.  Fennell had a PR in long jump with 5.55 meters and in the 60-meter hurdles with 8.80 at the Kent State Tune-Up.

Andra Lehotay had a personal best 4:51.63 Mile at the Kent State Tune-Up to come in second.

Sarah Berger, Andra Lehotay, Tori Reeves and Jetaiya Smith took first place in the Distance Medley Relay at the GLIAC Championships with a time of 11:38.02.
