(WOOSTER, Ohio) – The Walsh women's track and field team had a solid weekend at Wooster with a second place finish with 11 teams competing. The Cavaliers finished with 131.5 points for silver. Mt. Union won the event with 155.5 points.
In the field events, Katie Mokros won first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.18. Rachael Kotoch finished fifth with a time of 12.91. Both athletes finished in the same places in the 200 meter dash with times of 25.63 and 26.69, respectively.
In the 400 meter dash, Grier Cowles was fifth with a time of 1:02.53.
In the 5,000 meter run, Walsh took three of the top five places with Tori Reeves winning the event with a time of 17:47.68. Amanda Vincent was second at 18:49.86. Erin Housley was fifth with a time of 19:17.44.
In the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Maggie Kroll took home third place at 11:40.45 behind an unattached runner.
All-American Kaitlyn Barber won the pole vault with a height of 3.53 meters.
Annie Fahey was fifth in the hammer throw at 41.98 meters. Danielle Buzzacco was fourth in the javelin at 27.48 meters.
