Volleyball Falls to Rockhurst

(AURORA, Ill.) – Walsh fell in its final match of the Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover 3-1 to the GLVC's No. 4 seed Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers fell to 15-6 overall on the season while the Hawks improved to 17-5.

The Cavaliers were narrowly defeated 25-23 in the first set before using a five-point rally midway through the second to take a 15-11 lead en route to the victory. Walsh saw leads very early in the third and fourth sets, but ultimately fell 25-15 and 25-17.

Lauren Loucks was incredible on the attack with 19 kills on 49 attempts. Paola Ferrario was just behind her with 15. Justine Coffman spiked down 11. Olivia Zanolli set up the attack with 45 assists.

Amanda Adoratni led the team with 24 digs. Ferrario and Hallie Schroeder had 17 digs each.

Walsh will now to play Hillsdale this Friday. First serve is for Friday, 20.
