  • Loucks and Zanolli named to G-MAC All-Conference Team

    (INDIANAPOLIS) - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced its all-conference volleyball team earlier this evening at the championship banquet hosted by Hillsdale. The Walsh Cavaliers finished the regular season as the Eastern Division Champion (18-13, 14-5) and had two players represented on the all-conference teams.

    NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh volleyball team advanced to the Great Midwest Athletic Conferece Tournament semifinals with a 3-1 win over Cedarville on Tuesday night.
  • Walsh Volleyball Defeats Rival Malone

    (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - Walsh traveled down the road to Malone tonight and defeated the Pioneers 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21). Paola Ferrario led the charge with 17 kills for the Cavaliers. Lauren Loucks and Hallie Schroeder followed with 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Olivia Zanolli continues to be a stable of the Walsh offense with 51 assists on the night
  • Cavaliers Shine on Senior Day

    (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - The Walsh Volleyball team honored four stand-out seniors prior to today's match in Amanda Adoranti, Paola Ferrario, Erica Schiets, and Olivia Zanolli. They led their team to a win over Ursuline in three straight sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-13). 
  • Cavs Fall to Lake Erie in Five Sets

    The Walsh volleyball team took on the Lake Erie Storm at home tonight in what turned out to be a challenging match. Walsh managed to win the first (25-18) and fourth (25-17) sets to push the Storm into five, but fell in the fifth (15-11). The Lake Erie offense proved to be too much for the Cavs as they had 65 total kills on the night comparered to Walsh's 59.
  • Cavs Play for Much More than a Win Friday

    (NORTH CANTON, Ohio)- This weekend the Cavs head into a match with their eye on more than just adding another W to their record. Friday evening your Walsh Cavaliers are dedicating their match against Lake Erie College to Lauren Thomas, a sophomore outside hitter for Beaver Local High School.
  • Walsh Falls to Wheeling Jesuit in Four Sets
    October 23, 2018
    (WHEELING, West Virginia) - The Walsh Cavaliers (15-10, 11-3) traveled to Wheeling Jesuit (25-3, 11-0) for a non-conference match this afternoon. Walsh won the second set 25-19, but the Cardinals proved to be too much for the Cavaliers as they won the first (25-14), third (25-23), and fourth (25-19) sets. 
  • Cavs Come From Behind to Defeat D&E

    It was a perfect weekend for Walsh volleyball as it capped a road trip to the Mountain State with a 3-1 win over Davis & Elkins on Saturday. The Cavaliers (15-10, 11-3) dropped the first set to the Senators (8-15, 3-11) 25-19, but came from behind to take the next three sets 26-24, 25-14, and 25-19.
  • Cavs Cruise to Win Over Battlers

    The Walsh volleyball team traveled to Alderson Broaddus earlier this evening where they swept the Battlers 3-0. Alderson Broaddus (7-17, 2-12) hung with the Cavaliers (14-10, 10-3) throughout the first two sets (29-27, 28-26). But the Cavaliers ultimately secured the win in the third set (25-16). 
  • Zanolli Earns G-MAC Weekly Honors

    Olivia Zanolli has been named this week’s Great Midwest Athletic Conference East Division Player of the Week giving a Walsh player the honor for a second week in a row. Zanolli helped the Cavaliers upset nationally ranked No. 10 Rockhurst in four games on Friday in the Midwest Region Crossover.
  • Volleyball Swept By Saginaw Valley In Crossover Finale

    Walsh dropped the final match of the 2018 Midwest Region Crossover by falling to the GLIAC’s No. 4 seed Saginaw Valley State on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers are now 13-10 after the tournament, while the Cardinals improved to 15-7.
  • Walsh Stuns No. 10 Rockhurst In Midwest Crossover

    The first day of the Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover was a great one for Walsh as it capped the day with its biggest win since joining the NCAA. Despite opening the day with a 3-0 loss to No. 19 Lewis (16-5), the Cavaliers (13-9) rebounded with a 3-1 win over No. 10 Rockhurst (21-3).
  • Loucks Earns Player of the Week Honors For Second Time

    Lauren Loucks powered Walsh to a pair of victories on the road last weekend and has been named the G-MAC’s East Division Player of the Week as a result. It’s the second time this season the junior outside hitter has earned the weekly honors after she did so the first time for Week 4.

    Walsh (12-8, 9-3) struggled early against Ohio Dominican (2-18, 0-12) losing the second set, but prevailed against the Panthers 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 25-11, 25-15).

    It was a successful night for the Walsh University volleyball team as they traveled to Ohio Valley and took down the Fighting Scots in three consecutive sets.

    An interesting event occurred in the five-set thriller between Walsh and Malone as the team on the north side of the court won every set Friday evening. When the dust settled, the university to the north also reigned supreme.

  • Volleyball Falls To Findlay in Straight Sets

    In a matchup between two of the top teams in the G-MAC, Walsh fell to Findlay in straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-22, and 25-20 Tuesday evening. The Cavaliers fell to 9-8 overall and 6-3 in the conference, while the Oilers improved to 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the league.
  • Bump, Set, Cavs Sweep, Spike Kentucky Wesleyan

    It was a perfect weekend for the Walsh volleyball team as it went through Kentucky Wesleyan without dropping a game for the second consecutive match. The Cavaliers (9-7, 6-2) took the straight sets from the Panthers (9-8, 4-5) by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-17.
  • Cavs Tap Out Trojans In Three Sets

    Walsh had little trouble with Trevecca Nazarene in a three-set shutout as the hosts won by scores of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-16 on Friday evening. The Cavaliers (8-7, 5-2) rarely trailed at any point as they coasted to the victory over the Trojans (5-7, 3-5).
  • Cavs Fall In Battle Between Top G-MAC Teams

    A battle between two of the top teams in the G-MAC didn’t go Walsh’s way as it fell to Tiffin in three sets 25-22, 25-16, and 25-22. The Cavaliers (7-7, 4-2) entered and left the day in second place in the East Division, while the Dragons (11-3, 6-0) moved into first place in the West Division.
  • Loucks Named G-MAC East Division Player of the Week

    The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its Players of the Week honors for volleyball today and Walsh’s Lauren Loucks had won the accolades for the league’s East Division. The junior outside hitter had a stellar week to lead the conference in overall hitting percentage and kills per set.

    It was a perfect weekend for the Walsh volleyball team as it cruised by visiting Alderson Broaddus in three sets Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (7-6, 4-1) faced little trouble from the Battlers (6-8, 2-5) as they took the games by scores of 25-15, 25-13, and 25-23.

    The Walsh volleyball team climbed back to .500 with a dominating three-set win over visiting Davis & Elkins in G-MAC East Division action Friday evening. The Cavaliers (6-6, 3-1) took down the Senators (4-6, 1-3) by scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-23.
  • Cavs' Four-Match Win Streak Snapped By Storm

    The Walsh volleyball team’s four-match win streak was snapped by divisional foe Lake Erie 3-0 at the Osborne Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. The Cavaliers (5-6, 2-1) suffered their first conference defeat by scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-19 at the hands of the Storm (8-3, 3-1).
  • Cavs Quiver Arrows In Five Sets
    September 07, 2018
    Walsh needed five sets, but it eventually handed the 3-2 defeat to Ursuline to win its fourth consecutive match and second-straight G-MAC contest. The Cavaliers (5-5, 2-0) dropped the first set to the Arrows (4-4, 1-2) 25-21, but rebounded to take the next pair by scores of 25-16 and 25-21. Ursuline won set four 25-17, but the Maroon and Gold cruised to through the fifth 15-5.
