Walsh Rolls Past Ohio Valley in Final Home Match

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) - In the final home match of the season, Walsh defended their court as they defeated the Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley in four sets. The Cavs secured the first set (25-19), but Ohio Valley came back to win the second set (25-17). From there, the Cavs began to click as they won the third and fourth sets (25-12, 25-16).

Walsh's offense was once again led by power hitter Lauren Loucks. She contributed 12 kills to the win, and now has over 1,000 career kills. A balanced attack supplied the remaining Cavalier offense as Hallie Schroeder had nine kills and Paola Ferrario and Justine Coffman contributed seven apiece. Olivia Zanolli's 32 assists led the Cavs in passing.

Freshman Samantha Wentz played a crucial role in the Cavalier defense with 16 digs. Amber King continues to dominate at the net, as she had two blocks on the evening.

The Cavs conclude regular season play tomorrow at Hillsdale at 5 p.m.
