(INDIANAPOLIS) – Andrew Czech has been named North Division Player of the Week by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon after an impressive week in leading Walsh to a 3-1 week. He led an offensive barrage with splits of .500/1.333/.550.
For the week, he was 9-for-18 with seven runs and 12 RBI. Czech hit five home runs during the four-game stretch with multiple-round trips against Notre Dame and in the final game of series against Findlay. He now is second in the G-MAC with 12 homers and is currently on an eight-game hit streak.
Czech leads the conference in total bases, is third in doubles with 12 and 36 RBI, fourth in hits with 42, and sixth in batting average at .404.
He and the Cavaliers will be back on the diamond tomorrow when they head to nearby Ashland for a twin bill. First pitch with the Eagles is set for 2 p.m.
