MASON, Ohio - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the 2019 All-Conference Awards on Tuesday (May 7), leading into day one of the 2019 G-MAC Baseball Tournament at Prasco Park.

Three members of the Cavaliers baseball team were honored. Junior first baseman Andrew Czech was named G-MAC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference by the league's coaches. Junior pitcher Ben Bulchik and junior outfielder Brenden Spaulding were named Honorable Mention for the conference.

Czech ranks in the top three for the conference in eight different categories and is fourth in another. Over the course of the season, he tossed two complete games and made one save. In 47 innings, the right-hander allowed 17 runs on 36 hits. He walked only nine batters and fanned 53, second most on the team. Bulchik made four starts in which he threw at least six innings and allowed less than two runs. He struck out ten batters against Alderson Broaddus and topped that with 11 strikeouts against Ohio Dominican.

Spaulding is third on the Cavaliers with a .329 batting average in 48 games. In 173 at-bats, the left fielder has 57 hits, 35 runs, and 20 doubles. Spaulding currently holds the conference lead with 20 doubles and is tied for the Walsh Cavaliers single-season doubles mark. He also has five home runs and 41 RBI, the second-most on the team. He has hit a double in four of the last six games and is riding a nine-game hitting streak into the tournament.
