(OWENSBORO, Ky.) – Coming off of its best game of the season, Walsh hits the road to Kentucky Wesleyan for the fourth game of the season. The Cavaliers (0-3, 0-1) took Tiffin to the limit last Saturday before suffering a 27-20 loss at the hands of the Dragons. The Panthers (2-2, 1-1) are also entering the weekend on an upswing as they won their second consecutive contest with a 44-38 decision over Malone.
This will be the third game in the series between the two schools with the first coming back in 2012, Walsh's first as a member of NCAA Division II. In that game, the Maroon and Gold took a 40-10 victory over the Panthers under the guidance of Wall of Fame Head Coach Jim Dennison.
The series resumed last year as the Cavs became members of the G-MAC. Walsh once again returned to Owensboro and defeated the Panthers in a high-scoring 56-29 affair for its first win of the season. It gave the Cavs a boost of momentum as they finished the year with four wins in their last six games.
The G-MAC slate hits full swing this week with all eight teams squaring up in competition against each other. Alderson Broaddus and Ohio Dominican as well as Findlay and Lake Erie start off the day at noon. Hillsdale visits Canton to take on Malone and will also kick off at 2 p.m.
