(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Walsh kicks off one of its toughest stretches of the season that features three games in five days. The first two of those games comes against division rivals Findlay and Wayne State.
The Cavaliers will start off at Findlay in a battle between two of the top three teams in the division. Walsh is currently in third place in the South Division with a 9-7 record overall and is 7-5 within the conference. The Oilers lead the division at 12-5 overall and 9-3 in the GLIAC.
Walsh and Findlay have met 26 times with the Oilers leading the all-time series 17-9. The two teams split last season's pair of games with Walsh winning the first 76-69 before Findlay answered with a 77-64 win.
On Saturday, Walsh hosts Wayne State for Wall of Fame Weekend. Walsh's Wall of Fame Ceremony will take place on Friday evening with inductees being honored at halftime of the men's game. Former star Randall Sistrunk, who helped the Cavaliers win a national championship in 2005, is one of the inductees.
On the court, Walsh will take on the Warriors for the fifth time in series history. The Cavs lead the all-time series 3-1. Wayne State won the first game last season 77-60 before Walsh won the second 86-77.
