Walsh welcomes Ashland after for its second game of the week after a thrilling 99-97 victory over arch-rival Malone on Monday. With the victory, the Cavaliers improved to 10-9 overall and 8-7 within the GLIAC. The Eagles are also coming off of a close win as they defeated Lake Erie 87-79 in overtime to improve to 17-4 overall and 11-4 in the conference.
This is the 21st meeting all-time between the two schools. Earlier this season, Walsh took home a nail-biting 74-72 victory over Ashland thanks to a late 3-pointer by Zac Carter. The Eagles lead the all-time series 12-8.
Carter recently had the best game of his collegiate career with 36 points in the win against Malone. Trey Fletcher joined him with a career-best 31 points to lead the Cavs to victory.
Jesse Hardin Jr. leads the team with 18.5 points per game. Fletcher is second on the team with 17.5 points per game. Carter is just behind both of them with 16.1 points per outing. Chall Montgomery averages 9.7 points and is the team's top rebounder with 8.1 boards on average.
Wendell Davis leads the Eagles with 18.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Marsalis Hamilton is second on the team with 12.8 points per game.
