Hacke returns to the Cavs’ coaching staff for his second season after spending two years as a graduate assistant for the Penn State men’s basketball team.

With the Nittany Lions, he was instrumental in the day-to-day activities of the team which included travel, practices, skill development, film exchange, meals, facility use, community outreach, and summer camps. He graduated this year with his master’s degree in educational leadership.

Prior to his time at Penn State, he worked briefly with the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association.

Hacke went to undergrad at West Virginia University where he was a student manager during the Mountaineers’ 2010 Final Four season. He graduated in 2013 with his bachelor of science in business administration.

He has worked on skill development with dozens of collegiate and professional athletes including Nolan Smith (Duke/Portland Trailblazers), Quinn Cook (Duke/Golden State Warriors), Kris Jenkins (Villanova), Joe Mazzulla (WVU), and John Flowers (WVU).

Hacke is originally a native of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
