(TAMPA, Florida) - The Walsh University Men's Golf team made big strides on day two of the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff in Tampa today. With perfect weather conditions and a well manicured course, the Cavaliers posted a day two total of 303 to move them up three spots into third place.
Drew Savage would lead the Cavs on the day posting a 2 over 72 for his second round of the event. Savage's five shot improvement from day one would help move him into a fourth place tie individually at 149. The entire Maroon and Gold team improved from their day one totals. Noah Frase would card a 75 to give him a two day total 154 while Brandon Netzel turned in a 77 on his day. Jake Barth improved by 11 strokes after shooting 79 during round two making his round the best improvement of all players in the field on day two. Sam DiMeo would also go on to shave strokes from day one with his 7 shot bump helping him card a 83.
Grand Valley State continues to lead the event after posting a day two total of 297.
The men will tee off at 7:30 A.M. for the final round of the event.
