(LEXINGTON, Kentucky) - The Walsh University Men's Golf team wrapped up a 22 team event in Lexington, Kentucky hosted at the University Club yesterday. The Cavaliers finished twentieth out of twenty-two teams at the University of Findlay event.
Drew Savage and Noah Frase would guide the Cavalier squad each shooting a two day total of 151. Savage would fire back to back rounds of 75-76 while Frase went low on day one after carding a 73 and would slighlty stumble on day two to card a 78. Both Cavaliers would finish tied for forty-first place at the end of day two.
Brandon Netzel would be next in line for the Cavs tallying a two day total of 156 after posting a first round of 80 and improving on round two after scoring a 76. Sam DiMeo and Austin King would round out the lineup for the Cavaliers after posting two day totals of 166 (83-83) and 179 (89-90) respectively.
Grand Valley State University would take home the team title as they went on to shoot a two under team total of 574 for the event. Mitchell White from Grand Valley State would take home the medalist title after firing rounds of 69 and 70.
The Maroon and Gold hit the road and head to Nashville April 1-2 where they'll compete at the Music City Spring Invite hosted by Trevecca Nazarene.
