(OWENSBORO, KY)- The Walsh Men's Golf team completed the final round of the GMAC Fall Preview, improving eight shots on their day one total. The Cavaliers posted rounds of 308 and 300 to help secure the ninth spot in the event.
Brandon Netzel helped guide the Cavs on day two with his career best collegiate round of 69. Netzel's second round score helped jump him seventeen spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for twelfth. Noah Frase followed right behind his teammate with a final round 73. Frase finished tied for twenty-third place overall. Jake Barth was consistent on the course over the 2 day event by adding a final round of 79 for the Cavs. Kyle Buzaki and Mark Mokros added rounds of 82 and 79, respectively.
The University of Findlay went home with the team title after going 12 under par on the final round.
The men tee it up again September 30 and October 1 as they travel to Chicago to play in the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate at Cog Hill.
