Men's Soccer Drops First Contest in WV

PHILIPPI, West Virginia - The Walsh Cavaliers men's soccer team began a two-game swing in West Virginia on Thursday (Sept. 26) night against the Alderson Broaddus Battlers. 

Walsh fell 3-1 against the Battlers in a G-MAC contest. 

Alderson Broaddus scored goals in the 17th and 35th minute as the Battlers led 2-0 at the half. 

The Battlers added a third goal in the 51th minute for a 3-0 lead. In the final minute, Hayden Walbeck nixed the shutout with an unassisted goal for the Cavaliers. 

Alderson Broaddus won the overall shot battle, 23-13 despite being outshot in the second half. 

Walsh will face Ohio Valley on Saturday (Sept. 28) at 3:30 PM, closing the roadtrip.
