Men's Tennis Falls at Edinboro

ERIE, Pa. - The Walsh Cavaliers men's tennis team took the court for the first match in 2019 with a non-conference match at Edinboro on Saturday (Feb. 2) afternoon.

The Cavaliers fell to the Fighting Scots 5-2. 

Jakob Riglewski and Pedro Campos started the day with a 6-2 win in first doubles over Kevin Mboko/Julius Schulte. Edinboro won the other two doubles matches, clinching the doubles point. 

Riglewski won the first singles match against Mateus Santos by a 6-2, 6-4 score. Edinboro won the next four singles matches before Walsh ended the day with a win. Guilherme Carneiro held off Schulte in a thriller, winning 6-7 (2-7), 6-1, 1-0 (11-9). 

The Cavaliers will hold their home opener on Sunday (Feb. 3) as they host Salem International at 4:00 PM.
