Cavaliers Drop Battle With Tigers, 5-2

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's tennis team completed the second leg of a back-to-back with the first home match of the spring on Sunday (Feb. 3) at North Canton Racquet Club. 

The Cavaliers fell 5-2 to the Salem International Tigers in a non-conference match. 

Jakob Riglewski was one of the two Walsh victories as he defeated Sibi Junior Sahamaoro 6-3, 6-1 in first singles. Dawson Drummond earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Ilia Peredero in second singles. Salem International won the final four singles matches. 

Riglewski and Pedro Campos were victorious 6-2 over Sahmaoro and Peredero in first doubles but the Tigers clinched the doubles point with wins in second and third singles. 

The team will return to the court on Sunday (Feb. 10) as they host Ashland at 4:00 PM.
