Cavaliers Fall in Men's G-MAC Semifinal

OWENSBORO, Kentucky - The fourth seeded Walsh Cavaliers men's tennis team gave the top overall seed Tiffin Dragons a battle in the G-MAC Semifinal but the Cavaliers fell 4-2 on Friday (April 26) morning at Centre Courts. 

Walsh ends their season with a 5-18 overall record following the defeat. 

G-MAC Freshman of the Year Jakob Riglewski earned his 17th win of the year and gained a point for the Cavaliers with a 7-6, 8-6, 6-2 win over Santiago de la Rosa Mora in first singles. Alex Medina was victorious in his fifth singles bout with Tom Arias and Medina dispatched Arias 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. Clemens Wagner, Dawson Drummond and Filipp Kulynych all fell in straight sets as the sixth singles match was unfinished in the third set. 

Tiffin won two of the three doubles matches, clinching the early point. The second doubles team of Filipp Kulynych and Clemens Wagner defeated Arias and Gabriel de Oliveira 6-2, forcing the first doubles match to be the tiebreaker.
