Men Have Multiple Placers at SPIRE, Findlay

(GENEVA/FINDLAY, Ohio) – The Walsh track & field teams sent split squads to a pair of meets with the Cavs participating in the SPIRE Midwest Open as well as the Findlay Classic & Elite Throws meets.

For the men, Hunter Williams continued an impressive year with a second place finish in the 200 meter run with a time of 21.98 to set a new school record. Brandyn Neal was fourth in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:23.7.

Williams and Neal were also half of the 4x400 meter relay team along with Solomon Yoder and Bryce Ostheimer that finished fifth with a time of 3:24.08.

In the mile run, Steven Kapes and Mark Hadley finished third and fourth with times of 4:16.71 and 4:17.42, respectively.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Lane Knoch was sixth with a time of 8.37.

Varney Pelima finished fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.96 meters.

Andrew Dowdell was fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.43 meters.

Ronald Robinson finished eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 3.24 meters.

At Findlay, Conner Hluch finished fourth and Peyton Speicher was fifth in the heptathlon with 3,444 and 3,014 points, respectively.

In the weight throw, Dante Penza finished third with a mark of 17.61 meters.
