(TIFFIN, Ohio) – The Walsh men's track and field team featured a select group of athletes at Tiffin's Dragon Grand Prix today. Despite a limited lineup, the Cavaliers still saw six athletes place in four events.
Marcus Myers highlighted the day with a win in the weight throw. His best mark came in at 19.63 meters to edge out Tiffin's Toryko Grace. The Cavs dominated the rest of the event with three more placers. Bradley Gallitz finished third with a throw of 16.87 meters, Dante Penza finished fifth at 16.09 meters, and Sheldon Archer came in eighth with a throw of 15.25 meters.
Penza also placed in the shot put with a throw of 15.95 meters, good for fifth position.
Bryce Ostheimer finished fifth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.83.
Brandyn Neal was sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 52.46.
Andrew Dowdell tied for sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.30 meters.
Walsh will be back in action next week when it heads north for the Kent State Tune-Up.
